Third Generation

Validation at Scale
Running two live products across a growing global audience gave us direct insight into how people in different countries, tax systems, and life situations actually manage their money. That intelligence is built into every decision in the third generation.
FinancialAha
We turned our financial planning spreadsheet templates into a standalone product under financialaha.com. It grew to 55+ countries without external funding, and it is bootstrapping the third generation of Segmio.
Second Generation
A complete rebuild, privacy-first from the ground up, covering all asset types, cash flow, financial goals, credit tracking, and the first version of financial projections. Real users tested every iteration and shaped what it became.
Research & Validation
A year of running the first prototype with real users. We studied how people use it, what they ignore, where they get stuck. That research shaped every decision in the second generation.
First Public Prototype
After years of building and testing on ourselves, we made the first public release. Still refining our ideas as we took them to the world.
Segmio is Born
The spreadsheets grew in complexity. We wanted more. A private web application to replicate what we had and create complex financial projections. The idea of Segmio was born.
The Beginning
A spreadsheet, built for two people, that kept outgrowing itself. By 2020 it had become complex enough that turning it into a real product was not ambition. It was the natural next step.
